Hi Nguyen

In PostGIS context, a GEOMETRY is in a 2d plane, a GEOGRAPHY is basically on a sphere/geoid/ellipsoid, see http://postgis.refractions.net/documentation/manual-1.5/ch04.html#PostGIS_Geography
