I think, I tried it already.
But - thanks for the suggestion. I will try again and will report, if it resolves the issue.

Other possibility is your virus protection software or some other software is blocking it.
Did you try turning off your virus protection software or checking the event logs of it (or other protection services)

Jibran,

Given this is not a PostGIS question, you should ask this on pg-general list instead.

https://www.postgresql.org/list/pgsql-general/

One thought, did you run the installer as an Administrator - Right click --> Run As Administrator?

Thanks,
Regina

Subject: [postgis-users] Unable to install PostgreSQL 9.5.11 on Windows 10

Hello,

Apologies if this is an irrelevant question, here.

I have been trying to install PostgreSQL 9.5.11 on Windows 10 (x64) using Enterprise DB interactive installer. But, no success.
I keep getting this error.

[cid:image001.png at 01D3D6A1.EBADA1E0]

I am aware about the BigSQL installers but I prefer the Enterprise DB one :).

I came across the similar issue here:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46118851/unable-to-install-postgresql-on-windows-10

A little googling routed me towards some proposed solutions (here<http://1stopit.blogspot.dk/2011/01/postgresql-83-and-84-fails-to-install.html> and here<https://serverfault.com/questions/230219/vbscript-wont-run-for-domain-user-on-windows-server-2008-r2>).
I tried them but, no success.

Here is the error message, I am getting.

Can somebody suggest the workaround to fix this issue?
