totally agree. I discovered today that the gdal contour lines is also
broken in dev:

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/issues/30669

as stated in the issue, I thought this was covered by tests:

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/blob/master/python/plugins/processing/tests/GdalAlgorithmsRasterTest.py#L403
