[QGIS-Developer] Save Log messages as pdf

Hi all,
I'm working on a plugin that prints a report at the end of the process in a
log text area of the GUI. I'd like to add an option (maybe a checkbox) to
save the content of the log and the image of the map area as a single
multipage pdf file.

Is it possible with the standard libraries or it requires external
dependencies? Do you have any documentation to suggest?
