[QGIS-Developer] makevalid and fix geometries

Hi all,
the several methods available in QGIS for checking and cleaning up
invalid geometries always proved confusing to users. Now things are
getting even more complicated with the new FixGeometry function in GEOS.
The results of it are different from those of MakeValid.Some examples of

Any hope to take advantage of this to clarify the QGIS situation?
