[Qgis-tr] How to manage "&" character in new strings when translating?

Hi,
In many new strings, there is a "&" character. I suppose it's intended to
indicate which letter might be used for shortcut. Am I right?
If so, How do you manage this in language other than english, as we don't
always have same letter in translated text?
