[Qgis-user] How to correct uninstall an install? .dll-error

Hi everyone,

 

because of a problem with QGIS I would like to uninstall the program and
reinstall it. I had installed the program (QGIS 2.2) via the standalone
setup, and then over the OSGeo4W Installer various added (libraries, Qt4
Creator, etc.). Both the uninstall from c:\Program Files\QGIS
Valmiera\Uninstall QGIS.exe with subsequent reinstallation with OSGeo4W
Installer, and uninstall all components (Including deleting ...\Users\.qgis)
with OSGeo4W and reinstalling only QGIS 2.2 (nothing in addition, with the
exception of the required dependencies) lead at the start of QGIS to
following error message: 

 

Entry point not found - qgis-bin.exe 

The Procedure "? OnCacheImageDelete QgsVektorLayer @ @ @ UEAAXXZ" was not
found in DLL "qgis_core.dll". 

 

I had the problem on another PC before (WinXP). Through trial and error with
the dll. the System was hardy damaged so only solution as to completely
reinstall Windows. 

System now: Win7Professional (64 bit) 

 

How can I completely uninstall and reinstall QGIS, without destroying the
PC? 

 

I would be very grateful for help.
