Bom dia a todos,

O QGIS master entrou em feature freeze para a versão 2.10, que será lançada
daqui a aproximadamente 1 mês. Isto quer dizer que não serão adicionadas
novas funcionalidades até lá, e que portanto deverá existir alguma
estabilidade nos textos a traduzir para português.

Assim sendo, esta é a altura ideal para traduzir (ou melhorar traduções)
para português.

De igual forma, os trabalhos para o manual do QGIS 2.8 LTS foram terminados
durante o hackfest na Dinamarca e portanto também estamos em condições de
iniciar/completar a tradução do manual. Lembro que,  este manual irá
manter-se até próxima versão LTS (Long term release) ou seja o manual para
a versão QGIS 2.14.

Para facilitar a tradução da documentação e do site, foram criados links no
rodapé de todas as páginas do site do QGIS que apontam directamente para as
strings a traduzir de cada página. Por exemplo, vejam o rodapé da seguinte
página:

Hi Translators!

Just a short message from me to keep this mailing list low traffic.

1. To all language coordinators out there. We have got 10 requests to
join language teams for different languages.

Albanian
Bulgarian
Chinese
Finnish
Italian
Spanish

I'd like to encourage the language coordinators to look at these new
persons and either accept them or (with a good reason) deny them.
(Otherwise I am going to accept them all in 2 weeks)

I would also like to have a reply from a Chinese native because
currently we do have 4 Chinese languages Chinese(China), Chinese
Simplified, Chinese (Taiwan) and Chinese (Taiwan) (Big5).
Are these really 4 different languages? Or are they such similar like
German (Germany), German (Austria) and German (Swiss) which all
understand and can read each other? What and Where is the difference?
Please help me in getting Chinese languages sorted!

2. We entered Feature Freeze already - which means there will be no
more features in the source tree until release - usually that keeps
the changes in Strings to translate also very low.
So NOW is a good time to try to keep up with the translations and
bring the Desktop to a higher level.
